As Principal in charge of Design, Laurie believes in the ability of architecture to inspire and reshape the physical world with sustainable and regenerative methods. Her design direction is rooted in the belief in the transcendent qualities of authentic materiality and form, and strives to make buildings that celebrate the people, the environment, and the community in a positive way. Laurie has taught design and theory classes at the University of Arkansas and the New School of Architecture in San Diego. She earned both a Bachelor of Art and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas, and her Master of Architecture at the University of California, San Diego. She was awarded the John Dinkeloo Traveling Fellowship and studied in Paris and the American Academy in Rome. Laurie joined partner Robert L. Davis, Jr. in 1994 to create Davis Davis Architects. She is licensed in both Colorado and California.
